The institute houses a well-established central library, which includes a reading room equipped with internet access for staff, students, and patients. The library holds an extensive collection of 6,409 books, journals, and postgraduate dissertations in various languages. This includes 1,470 books on Unani Medicine, 2,811 books on modern medicine and related subjects, 411 books in other fields, 1,513 issues of medical journals, and 204 MD (Unani) postgraduate dissertations. Among these, 3,500 are reference books.
In addition, the library maintains 6 manuscripts, 40 maps and charts for reference and research purposes, and 12 CDs containing rare books. The library operates using e-Granthalaya software, developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India, to provide member services. It is regularly updated with new publications, including books and journals, to support the planning, execution, assessment, and evaluation of research and dissertation projects.
Departmental Library, Moalajat (Medicine) :
The PG Department of Moalajat (Medicine) has its own departmental library, housing 117 books on Unani Medicine, medicinal plants, and other areas of modern medicine in various languages. This collection includes 98 Unani books and 19 books on modern medicine. Additionally, the library subscribes to several issues of three journals.
Departmental Library, Ilmul Advia (Pharmacology) :
The PG Department of Ilmul Advia (Pharmacology) also has its own departmental library, with 154 books covering Unani pharmacology, medicinal plants, and modern medicine in multiple languages. The collection consists of 133 Unani books and 21 books on modern medicine and related subjects. In addition, the library holds various issues of five journals.
